We were delighted to celebrate our third anniversary in January 2010! Over the last three years we have astonished ourselves by donating almost $87,000.00 to the Grandmother's Campaign. The 4Gs are a group of over 120 women of whom 30-40 are VERY active, meeting monthly. There is a Steering Group which tries to keep up with the Achievers' Group, dynamic women who "make things to sell" and "organize events to raise money"! We participated in a Guelph charity Tree Decoration contest at the River Run Centre and can report that the 4Gs' tree was voted 2 of about 40! We cherish our members who quietly donate from their savings, their bridge clubs, bowling groups, musical events etc. Seven of our members have returned from the Nov. 09 ORRG meeting, charged anew with ideas and plans for 2010. Our Spring 2010 activities will involve a Card Night and a Plant Sale over two weekends in May with perhaps a SLF walk as well. Contact email for 4Gs: rjkennedy@sentex.net
