The Grassroot Grannies are once again doing a Ride to Turn the Tide for AIDS in Africa! Local grandmothers and grandothers will be participating in a 270 km, three day cycling tour from September 5th to the 7th, to show support and raise money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers Campaign.
The cyclists will pass through Ashton, Appleton, Almonte, Perth, Merrickville and Metcalfe. Along the way, they will be supported by the Mississippi Grannies, Lanark Grannies, the United Church and Grannies All About Kids.
