Grandmothers groups across Canada are holding events – home-made crafts sales, bike-a-thons, African-themed dinners, jewellery shows, Good Words for Africa Scrabble benefits, textile art galas and much more – to raise awareness about the AIDS pandemic and funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s work with community-based projects that support African grandmothers and the children in their care.
